MEET THE FOUNDER

 

 

Meraki was founded in 2019 by Amber Makupson, as a labor of self-love, self-empowerment and dedication to wellness.

A native of Ohio, Amber grew up valuing her hair care routine. Amber settled in Atlanta, Georgia at a young age. During the pregnancy of her daughter Amber took on a healthy and holistic lifestyle making her own natural remedies and beauty products.

After suffering a serious chemical burn from an over-the-counter beauty product, Amber was fed up with the toxic ingredients damaging so many other women. She used her extensive knowledge and skills as a trained aesthetician and accelerated her research on botanical, vegan and ayurvedic ingredients to create her own line of highly effective products. Amber matches crystals with her products based on the holistic benefits and energetic properties of each stone.

Amber’s continued success as the Founder of an award winning product line is in identifying holistic and nourishing ingredients that cater to a gender-neutral and multicultural demographic. Her crystal infused products offer an experience of self-love, affirmation, and self-elevation.
 

“Meraki for me was created around the idea of self love, finding my passion for life, and being fearless in the pursuit of the things that set your soul on fire. The word “MERAKI” is a Greek word that means to do something with love, soul and creativity - to put the essence of yourself in your work. So essentially my brand combines Beauty+Wellness+Spirituality, to form high vibrational products that nourish your mind, body, hair, and soul.”
